Yallingup is a popular surfing and fishing destination, located in Western Australia’s south west. Take an easy ten minute drive from Dunsborough and you will find Yallingup nestled within the Margaret River region. With a mere 300 person population, Yallingup is the place for relaxation.

Yallingup is an aboriginal word, meaning ‘Place of Love’. Aptly named, this township has become a beloved destination for Western Australian’s; first discovered by European settlers in 1899.

Ngilgi Cave’s are the areas most well recognised tourist attraction. The caves lie beneath the limestone ridge in Yallingup, and boast a breath-taking display of stalactite, stalagmite, helictite and shawl formations.

The small town encompasses the notion of relaxation. Its neighbouring region, Margaret River, provides an abundance of attractions and entertainment to keep you occupied. From wineries to galleries, restaurants to national parks; Yallingup has it all within its surrounds.

Surfers are drawn to this spectacular area; due to the popular surf breaks of Three Bears, Yallingup, Smith’s Beach and Injidup. These beaches are beautiful and world renowned. The area has reared a number of surfing champions, both national and international, due to its unbelievable surf. If you aren’t a surfer, the stunning coast provides plenty opportunity for fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing near the shore. There is also a tranquil lagoon to be explored. The lagoon is sheltered and the water is clam; it is a truly peaceful spot.

Take advantage of Margaret River’s attractions and wine region whilst in the area.

For those in need of a relaxing getaway; Yallingup is a must.
