Yalgoo
Located 498km north-east of Perth and with a population of over 700, Yalgoo is a very small settlement which appeals generally for historic reasons. The area is famous for its spectacular fields of wildflowers in July-September commonly known as everlastings.
As early as 1854, Europeans passed through the area of Yalgoo. Although it wasn’t until the 1870s that pastoralists moved in with sheep and cattle. The area was first settled in the early 1890s when prospectors travelled through the region.
