Goomalling is situated 132km North East of Perth and is home to approximately 1,000 people. Goomalling's settlement began when George Slater secured a pastoral lease around Goomalling Spring in 1853.

Goomalling is an Aboriginal word, when translated means “the place of the silver-grey- possum”.

Goomalling is a pretty, small, town in the wheat belt, with the typical pub, railway and small service centre. The area surrounding the town boasts wheat silos and sheep farms.
