The walk trail enters low scrubland with a large array of plant species. In spring the colourful purple flowered Shark Bay daisy emerges through the taller shrubs.

The shrub land provides ideal habitat for a number of small bird species, such as red-capped robin, grey fantail and the splendid fairy-wren.

The sandy beach between Lagoon Point and the mouth of Little Lagoon may have surprising treasures along the high tide line, a large array of shells to look at.

The lagoon is a haven of relaxation. The sheltered water is accessible by small watercrafts.

Be careful to ensure that a shell is not a home to a living animal. Little Lagoon can be simply described as a flooded birrida (the Aboriginal name of the salt claypans common to the area).
