Port Denison is a popular tourist destination; located 359 kilometres north of Perth. Boasting a beautifully grassed foreshore and provided barbeque facilities, Port Denison is a fantastic family sport with a children's playground, shaded seating areas and abundant parking for caravans at its southern end.

The Port Denison Small Boat Harbour was constructed in 1979. Enclosing the harbour are the East and West breakwaters. The East is mainly for commercial use; while the West is primarily used for recreational boating and fishing.

The town of Dongara is located 3 kilometres from Port Denison.
