Be awed by the residents of Lucky Bay; pygmy possums, bandicoots, and grey kangaroos, which are known to laze amongst the captivating bay.
 
7)  Lake Ballard – Statues
The statues at Lake Ballard are an eerie sight. Located 55 kilometres west from the town of Menzies, Lake Ballard is one of Australia’s fantastic salt lake systems.

In 2003, internationally renowned artist Antony Gormley was commissioned in celebration of the 50th anniversary for the Perth International Arts Festival. Body scans of the locals of Menzies were taken and transformed into a series of abstract black steel figures. The 51 life size figures now stand, spread out over 7 square kilometres of Lake Ballard. A truly magnificent sight, the best times to visit this unique attraction is at sunrise and sunset; where beautiful shadows, cast from the figures limbs, are contrasted against the brilliant white sand of the salt lake.
