The school house is located on a wheat and sheep farm which also features pet kangaroos and emus. Greenhills is a very small country village 22km south-east of York, comprising three houses, a hall, and an old country pub, the Greenhills Inn, which has been operating since around 1900. In earlier days the village was much larger and busier.
