Hints and Tips... 

• Cape range National Park is located at approx 1105km's north of Perth
• Cape Range National Park is made up of 47,655 hectares
• Driving time is approx 3 hours 15minutes
• Flora species include mangroves, acacia, spinifex, grevillea and eucalyptus
• Fauna found within the park include wallabies red kangaroos, emus and euros
• There are over 100 different species of birds and 80 species of reptiles
• Beware cattle on the sides of the road
• Not recommended for night driving
• The Ningaloo Reef is the world's largest "Fringing Reef"
• The Ningaloo Reef is approx 270km's long

The Episode...

 

In this episode Mark and Taryn continue on their personalised tour with North West Cape Exmouth Aboriginal Corporation Chairperson, Anne Priest. We continue to learn about the traditional owners of the region and about the Badyardi Homestead. We learn about the shipwreck of the Barque Stefano in 1875 and the story of the two Croatian survivors stranded in Exmouth.

Anne Priest also takes Mark and Taryn to one of her favourite places which is the local bird hide.

 The winner will be determined by a ballot if more than one correct entry is received.  The decision of our judge will be final and no correspondence will be entered into about that.  But you can email us about nearly anything else!
