Day 11 Ningaloo Reef and Exmouth

Hints and Tips... 

• Cape range National Park is located at approx 1105km's north of Perth
• Cape Range National Park is made up of 47,655 hectares
• Driving time is approx 3 hours 15minutes
• Flora species include mangroves, acacia, spinifex, grevillea and eucalyptus
• Fauna found within the park include wallabies red kangaroos, emus and euros
• There are over 100 different species of birds and 80 species of reptiles
• Beware cattle on the sides of the road
• Not recommended for night driving
• The Ningaloo Reef is the world's largest "Fringing Reef"
• The Ningaloo Reef is approx 270km's long
• The Ningaloo Reef is approx 1200km's north of Perth
• The Ningaloo Reef is now a World Heritage Listed Site

The Episode...

 

We are back again this week with the team still onboard the Keshi Mer. Taryn has already had the opportunity to swim with Whale Sharks and now it is time for mark to eat!!! We are then graced with the amazing footage of humpback whales mid migration travelling within metres of the boat.

Next we visit the Jurabi Turtle Centre for information and educational poem on these amazing ancient creatures.

And lastly we meet with Anne Priest from the North West Cape Exmouth Abroiginal Corporation for a personalised tour. Mark and Taryn gain an understanding about country, and learn about the cultural significance from the recognised elder.

If you send your answer by email then we will respond by email but if you do not then please make sure we have your contact details in case you win.

 The winner will be determined by a ballot if more than one correct entry is received.  The decision of our judge will be final and no correspondence will be entered into about that.  But you can email us about nearly anything else!
