CHRIS PYE – CEO AND CHAIRMAN
Chris is a passionate Western Australian entrepreneur. He is also the CEO of Hospitality Inns which own and operate four regional motels under the Best Western brand in Esperance, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Carnarvon as well as another one in Port Hedland. To add to his busy working life, Chris is also the CEO of WA Pass (a great discount travel guide), director of Ace Cinemas, Quest Apartments WA, Westclub and Great Aussie Holidays.

Chris is a mad 4WDriver and has travelled all over the state – in fact there are few places in Western Australia Chris hasn’t been to! He has done a lot of travelling by road, air, bus and train, both in and around Australasia in his 25 years as a Senior Executive in the Accommodation Industry.

However he did not do much travelling into the Western Australian outback and way off road until he became a member of the Variety Club of WA and began participating in Variety's 4 wheel drive adventures about 9 years ago and the Variety Club Bashes 8 years ago.

Variety WA runs exciting driving adventures throughout Australasia and the adventurers (Bashers) have great fun whilst raising money for the special children of their areas. Variety WA adventures have taken Chris (and his companion on these trips his wife Elizabeth) to many of the most remote and beautiful places in the world. They have been from the top to the bottom and the western coast to the great deserts of Western Australia and through many of the best parts of the eastern states of Australia from Cape York to the Great Australian Bight and from South Australia’s Border Village to the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay.

Variety WA makes it a practice to visit special places that most of the tourists to the areas miss because they just drive flat out from one town to the next. The best trips are those where you have time to stop whenever and where ever one wants to - to smell the wildflowers, swim in the ocean, sample a new wine, catch a crayfish or barramundi, buy a souvenir or experience a new adventure.

Chris is very thankful that Variety WA took him off road and showed him what great adventures in the Aussie outback can do for people.

Now he hopes to show you via DriveWA.com

Chris has spent more than 5 years on the Board of Management of the Variety WA and nearly three years as their Chairman.

Variety WA is the official charity for DriveWA. If you have a few spare dollars at the end of your trip please send them as a donation to the Variety WA.
