Bibbulmun Track

Bibbulmun Track Sunset along the Track

The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world's greatest long distance walks. It was opened in 1998 and meanders through a wide range of country and some of the most beautiful sections of Australia's south west. Within its 1000km length are many different tracks; which can be completed by bushwalkers of all different levels of fitness and experience. So you don't need to be a hardened bushwalker with all the right gear to enjoy this nature experience.

There are a wide range of experiences offered on the Bibbulmun Track; from a one day stroll to enjoy the tranquility and beauty that nature has to offer, to an epic eight week adventure, where you will hike the track from beginning to end. The track can also be undertaken by stopping in at each of the towns along the way; which include Dwellingup, Collie, Balingup, Donnelly River Village, Pemberton, Northcliffe, Walpole, Peaceful Bay, and Denmark. Accommodation or pickups and drop offs can easily be arranged in these towns with the help of DriveWA.com!

More than 130,000 people visit this great track each year and there are 48 campsites with shelters, which are approximately 10km apart near Perth and about 20km apart further south. These include wooden shelters along the track that have drop toilets, rainwater tanks, picnic tables, and tent sites; many also have fireplaces. It is important to note that you cannot book this accommodation along the track itself, only in the surrounding towns. It is therefore essential that you come prepared with a tent and sleeping equipment, incase the shelter is full when you arrive.

Walking or trekking holidays are becoming more popular by the minute in our stress filled modern world. So why not plan a walking escape with DriveWA.com and experience the peace and tranquillity that only walking seems to offer.
