London Court
Opened in 1937 London Court was originally a combination of residential and commercial premises for a wealthy gold miner and financier Clause de Bernales. Reminiscent of the Elizabethan architecture of England, this Tudor-style arcade has great attraction for photographers and tourists. Shops displaying souvenirs and gifts, jewellery and clothing line the sides of the walkway.
London Court is the only walk in the world, outside of Britain, that has captured a setting and atmosphere similar to that of Tudor England. With a clock at either end of the court, displaying St George and the dragon as the clock strikes the hour. Prominent statues of Dick Whittington and Sir Walter Raleigh can be seen inside the London Court.
