The town of Gwalia is known for its intimate link with a former United States President.

The Gwalia Musuem is set in old company offices, where the first manager was Herbert Hoover who then went on to become the President of the USA. The musuem houses a large collection of artefacts from the smallest coin to a 30m oregon headframe. Gwalia is a ghost town which has been preserved and maintained by a community that has the deepest of love and respect for its heritage.
