Bruce Rock lies in rolling farmlands, in the wheat and sheep district. Bruce Rock is 250 kilometres east of Perth and is home to 597 people.

Bruce Rock was named after sandalwood cutter John Rufus Bruce who set up his camp at the base of a small granite outcrop near the town. There’s a straight road from Bruce Rock up to the Totadjin Dam Reserve, where many people go to cool off. There are a lot of beautiful, purple-flowered jacaranda trees around these parts.

There is a large granite outcrop called Kokerbin which is roughly 45 kilometres west of Bruce Rock it is quite impressive. You will see some amazing views as you can drive right to the top of this rock.
