Bindoon is nestled in the Chittering Valley 81 kilometres north of Perth. The best time to visit Bindoon is from September through October when the beautiful wildflowers are in bloom.

Bindoon was one of the first areas outside Perth to be settled in Western Australia – explored in 1836 and the settlement began in 1841.

About 10kilometres south of the town centre is Lake Chittering which is a popular boating, fishing and swimming spot. Also, 80 kilometres north of Bindoon is New Norcia which has a lovely Benedictine Monastery - which welcomes visitors.
