Bridgetown lies on the Blackwood River 267km south of Perth. With its temperate climate and high rainfall Bridgetown is surrounded by lush forests and wildflowers. Bridgetown is a small town with a population of only 2,200.
The beautiful riverside setting, old world atmosphere and undulating countryside have made Bridgetown a magnet for people wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
With many fine old buildings that have been carefully maintained and or restored to their former glory, with the most notable being "Bridgedale", the home of one of the area's pioneer families that was built in 1862.
Festivals are a integral part of the Bridgetown lifestyle, with such festivals as; the Blackwood Marathon, the Festival of Country Gardens, Blues at Bridgetown, the Blackwood River Chamber Festival, the South West Easter Tennis Tournament and the Bridgetown Agricultural Society's Annual Show.

Bridgetown Community Resource Centre (CRC)
The Bridgetown CRC is a not-for-profit community based organisation, run by the community, for the community. The Centre offers a wide range of services such as, high speed internet, Broadband for Senior, modern computer workstation, photocopying, printing, fax services, meeting room hire and lots more. It is also a Centrelink, Medicare and DVA agent and offers access to government information at all levels. It is part of a state wide network of Community Resource Centres. more
Memorial Park
A park that has magnicifent trees, old cannons, a hall and a Cenotaph. Includes great toilet facilities, a playground for the kids and a covered BBQ area. more
Bridgedale
"Bridgedale", the first home built in the region, has been beautifully restored and is surrounded by pleasant gardens and scenic walks. more
Donnelly Well
Donnelly Well is of considerable historic interest, as it is one of many wells sunk before the turn of the century for watering horses on the mail run. This particular well has been recently restored and is located 15kms south of Bridgetown on the main highway. more
