Dongara has a crayfish fishing fleet operating from their harbour, and during cray season you can get fresh crays from the wharf.

Dongara has several national parks, a heritage trail and many historical buildings. Russ Cottage, built in the 1870’s, was the home of the pioneering Dent Family and has been kept fully restored.
